New from the Niermann Weeks line is the Crillon Chandelier. Over the top with multiple rock crystals to optimize reflective light and a heavily gilded finish, the Crillon Chandelier is the height of glamour. This chandelier style is typically found at an immense scale in the grand halls or ball rooms of Italian villas and French Chateaus. Niermann Weeks modified the traditional style by creating very uniquely shaped arms, unexpected wooden Bobeches with faux metal cups and unusually shaped Rock Crystals. The 2007 Fall Collection by Jim Thompson features fabrics inspired by Jim Thompson’s own Asian art collection. Jim’s Dream, a masterpiece inspired by Jim Thompson’s favorite painting depicting the story of silk-making, appears on home furnishing fabrics for the first time after serving as the “symbol” of Jim Thompson all these years. There could be no other than French designer Paul Bidault, who shares Jim Thompson’s affinity for Asia, who would so flawlessly reinterpret these ancient treasures in his fabric designs.
